Drunk Arizona Woman Tries To Set Boyfriend On Fire Because He Did Not Celebrate Her New Subway Job

A 46-year-old woman from Arizona tried to set her boyfriend on fire because he did not celebrate her getting a new job at Subway.

Kathy Jones, the 46-year-old woman, is facing serious charges for trying to set her boyfriend on fire on December 11, 2019.

Jones was arrested on 1 count each of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and criminal damage.

The boyfriend, who is also her roommate, told the investigating officers that Kathy sprayed him with lighter fluid and threw lit matches towards him.

Jones, who has no memory of committing the claims of her boyfriend, said she does have a memory of getting angry at her boyfriend because he didn’t celebrate with her after she got a new job at Subway, a fast-food restaurant.

According to charging documents, Kathy Jones drank 2 Smirnoff Ice Vodka drinks and 2 drinks with rum when the incident happened.

Jones is being held on a $15,000 bond.
