Drunk man lights up a cigarette on Spirit Airline flight to Minneapolis

In a bizarre turn of events, a man was caught smoking a cig on a Spirit Airlines flight bound to Minneapolis, Minnesota. Smoking on flights is banned and is punishable by law.

The incident happened on May 21, it was recorded by a passenger of the same flight.

The 1-minute long clip showed the man, who looks like intoxicated, taking a puff of his cigarette.

A man then calls the attention of a flight attendant.

The flight attendant then rushes over and wakes the man up and informed him that smoking aboard is illegal.

The intoxicated man then said “oh man” while the flight attendant asked him to pull out his boarding pass.

The passenger who recorded the video said that she saw the man acting differently from the moment they boarded the flight at 8:30 am.

She explained the entire incident.

She said, “This man was in my seat, and I thought he might be inebriated.”

She then added, “Once everyone boarded the plane I got in my assigned seat and realized his seat was next to mine. I breathed in deeply, but told myself that I wouldn’t be that person to treat him differently.”

After the doors of the plane got close, the man decided to move over the empty seat beside them.

The passenger who recorded the video said that she was relieved when the man moved over.

But what happened next was really shocking.

The passenger then added, “Throughout the flight, I could hear him making loud outbursts. Roughly 40 minutes before we landed, he laid across the two seats with his butt towards me.”

And explained what he did, she said, “He continued his loud outbursts and began aggressively flipping the tray open and closed, then he sat up. I saw him take the cigarettes and lighter out of his pocket. I pulled out my phone and started to record as he lit the cigarette.”

The woman who recorded the video said that the airport police removed the drunk man from the Spirit Airlines flight after the plane landed.

No further information is available about the man, and it is still uncertain if he was charged or fined for his actions.
