38-year-old Michael Jones of Florida has been arrested on the suspicion of killing his wife and 4 young children who have been missing for 6 weeks.

Jones reportedly stored the dead bodies of his family inside his house and van for 6 weeks and decided to drive to Georgia to throw away their remains.

The “Evil Dad” was arrested on September 15, 2019, in Brantley County, Georgia, after crashing his van.

The investigating officer arrived at the crash scene and smelled a foul smell coming out from the van of Jones.

Jones reportedly told the deputy to “put me in handcuffs because there was a dead body inside the vehicle.”

The Brantley County Sheriff’s Office said Jones made his confession on the crash scene.

His confession led to the discovery of 32-year-old Casie Jones’ dead body.

Authorities recovered the dead bodies of the 4 children hours after taking the statement of Jones.

Officials found the dead bodies of 1-year-old Aiyana, 2-year-old Mercalli Jones, 5-year-old Preston, and 10-year-old Cameron Bowers.

Jones was the father of Aiyana and Mercalli Jones.

Before authorities found Jones in Georgia, the suspect already had a warrant issued for his arrest for second-degree homicide, which was issued after his wife and children suddenly disappeared.

Billy Woods, the Sheriff of Marion County, said, “Unfortunately, true evil has poked its head up here in Marion County.”

Billy added, “That’s about the only way to describe it.”

Jones reportedly killed his 4 kids and his 32-year-old wife in their Summerfield house in Florida, where he hid their bodies for 6 weeks.

Jones then loaded the bodies into his van and drove it across the border into Georgia, where he wanted to dump them.

When Jones crashed his van, Levi Strickland, a man who lives nearby, said he heard an explosion like sound and rushed to the crash scene so he could help.

Upon arriving, he said the smell was horrible and added that he ain’t never smelled that smell in his entire life.

Initially, Levi though Jones shit in his pants, but another person who was with him said the odor was similar to decomposition.

It is still not clear how Jones killed his wife and 4 children.

Nikki, the mother of Casei, said, “I’ve never ever been so scared.”

She said, “They don’t know where she’s at. They went to the house and she’s gone. The house is empty. Casei is my baby, she was my last one. I don’t want anything to have happened to her.”

Talking about her 4 grandchildren, Nikki said they were her whole were and were just like her kids.

Nikki says she does not know what she would do without any of her grandchildren.

Jones and the 4 kids were last seen near Ocala in Florida.

She was last seen driving a 2017 Chrysler Pacifica
