Ex-Cheerleader Brooke Skylar Richardson Is Found Not Guilty Of Murdering Newborn

Brooke Skylar Richardson, a former cheerleader, who is accused of killing and burying her newborn baby, is found not guilty for murdering newborn.

After deliberating for 4 hours and 25 minutes, the jurors found her not guilty of aggravated murder, involuntary manslaughter, and child endangerment.

The jurors found her guilty in one charge, which is gross abuse of a corpse.

Earlier this week, a judge threw out a charge of tampering with evidence and said the prosecution did not meet its burden of proof on that charge.

Throughout the hearing, the 20-year-old was shaking, breathing heavily, and was in tears.

When the verdict was announced, Brooke burst into tears while her parents cried.

Her mother said, “We love you so much, we love you, baby.”

Brooke Richardson was accused of killing and burying her baby daughter in her backyard in July 2017.

The prosecutors allege she did not want to be an 18-year-old single mother, and the attorneys of Brooke claimed that the baby was stillborn and did not meet the legal criteria to be considered as a child.

The prosecutors alleged that Brooke did not want to be a single mom, especially with the fact that college was about to start in a couple of months.

Prosecutors also said that Brooke did not return for an ultrasound, treatment, and blood work after she found out she was pregnant.

She also ignored the calls from the doctors and their assistants.

In a police interview that was played in court earlier this week, Brooke told the police that she did not go to the doctors as she was scared.

In her interview, Brooke said, “I didn’t really want to have my baby. I really don’t know what I planned to do.”

She also told the police that she looked into an abortion, but it was “too late” to have one.

Brooke claims she did not perform the procedure on herself.

Prosecutors allege that Brooke intentionally killed her stillborn baby.

The medical examiner was unable to determine the cause of the death of the infant.

Brooke also searched “how do I get rid of a baby” after she found out she was pregnant.

The attorneys of Brooke admitted that she buried the remains of the child in the backyard of her parents’ house.

Richardson is currently facing up to 1 year in jail.

She will be sentenced on Friday morning at 11:00 am.
