The body of Jomar Junco, the 18-year-old teenager, has been sent for an autopsy so they could know the exact reason for his death.
Jomar started to work at the sausage factory 2 weeks ago, which is located in La Paz, Ilo-Ilo.
According to Jerwin Servano, the spokesperson of the police, the meat mixing machine caught the right arm of Jomar and it dragged him inside it.
The spokesperson added that the incident happened by 7:30 am and the police and the emergency officials arrived at the sausage factory by 9 am.
A number of news agencies in the Philippines report that Jomar was actually dragged inside a meat grinder and not a meat mixing machine.
But the spokesperson of the Porras Funeral Home said that Jomar was actually dragged into a meat mixing machine.
Ardee Porras, the director of the funeral home, said that the body of Jomar was still intact when it was pulled out of the meat mixing machine.
Porras added that it is possible that Jomar passed away due to suffocation.
Preliminary investigations revealed that the meat mixing machine was working when Jomar accidentally got his arm caught in it.
Carl David Carlos, the colleague of Jomar turned the meat mixing machine off when he saw him.
But, the top half body of Jomar was already caught in the mixer when he turned it off.
The police said that they did not find any signs of foul play in the accident, but added that they will conduct further investigation.
