Hind Daily Journalist Found Dead In Madhya Pradesh With 90 Percent Of His Body Burnt  

On June 19, 2019, a Hind Daily Journalist was found dead in Sagar, Madhya Pradesh with 90 percent of his body burnt.

The brother of the journalist says that he was murdered and set on fire by an Additional Agriculture Extension Officer.

Chakresh Jain, the journalist for Hind Daily, and Aman Chowdhary, the Additional Agriculture Extension Officer, were both involved in a case that is 2-years-old.

Chakresh Jain was facing chargest under the SC/ST Atrocities Prevention Act, the case was filed by the legal team of Additional Agriculture Extension Officer Aman Chowdhary.

But, according to Aman Chowdhary, the Additional Agriculture Extension Officer, Chakresh Jain came to his house and set him on fire.

Aman Chowdhary is currently admitted in a hospital in the district, he sustained 30 percent burn injuries.

According to Amit Sanghi, a Senior Police Officer, Aman Chowdhary, the Additional Agriculture Extension Officer, said that Chakresh Jain came to his home and talked about the case with him. After some time, Jain poured petrol over him and set him on fire before leaving his house.

Chakresh Jain was found inside a hut by Rajkumar Jain, his brother, after 5 hours. Jain was then brought to a hospital nearby, but the doctors declared him dead upon arrival.

Amit Sanghi, a Senior Police Officer, said that that the police have formed a team that will investigate the matter.

Officer Sanghi added that a forensic team has also collected samples from the crime scenes.

Rajkumar Jain, the brother of Chakresh Jain, said that Chakresh told him that he was set on fire by Aman Chowdhary and another man.
