“Human-Sized” Bat Picture From The Philippines Leaves Social Media Users Terrified
We see a lot of scary things in horror movies or in our nightmares, but one thing that we might never thought are massive human-sized bats living among us.
Yes, you read that right.
With all the scary things that are going on in the world right now, the Philippines have entered the chatroom for “we got something too”.
A picture that is viral on social media right now shows a “human-sized” bat hanging upside down from a roof.
However, the picture that was taken in the Philippines is a clever camera trick.
The photograph shows a giant golden-crowned flying fox, which is a large fruit-eating bat that lives in Asia.
Although the flying mammals can have a wing-span of up to 5ft 5 inches, the bats are only capable of growing to a height of 1 foot.
In short terms, the bat is not human-sized, it is just some kind of perspective photography that allowed the photo taker to make the bat look like extremely big.
Remember when I told y'all about the Philippines having human-sized bats? Yeah, this was what I was talking about pic.twitter.com/nTVIMzidbC

Heya, from the Philippines here. I can confirm this, they have a huuuuuge wingspan but the bodies are not really that big, more or less like the same body as a medium (bit smaller) sized dog and yeah they only eat fruits, guavas most particularly. They’re really gentle too.
The post has been liked more than 260,000 times.
