Jayaprakash Narayan International Airport Patna: Businessman Arrested For Smoking During IndiGo Flight

Deepak Kumar, a businessman, who was a passenger in Bangalore-Patna-Ranchi IndiGo flight, was arrested by the police at the Jayaprakash Narayan International Airport after he was caught smoking in the bathroom.

Deepak Kumar is a businessman, who owns an automobile agency, he is from Hazaribagh.

Officials said that Kumar started to smoke after the flight took off from the Bangalore Airport.

Kumar reportedly went to the bathroom of the plane and started to smoke a cigarette, the smoke sensors in the bathroom went off and the crew was informed.

The crew of the plane placed Kumar under observation.

As soon as the flight landed at the Patna Airport, Kumar was “handed over to the airport police station where the trader admitted his mistake.”

Kumar admitted to the police that he was addicted to smoking and was desperate to light a cig during the flight.

Kumar was released by the police afterward.

Kumar also wrote an apology letter and handed it out to the airline company.

Smoking cigarettes or any sort of smoking substance during flights are not allowed by all airlines and is punishable by law.
