One of the most awaited high-speed broadband service provider in the country, the Jio GigaFier, is expected to launch commercially on August 12, 2019.

A new report suggests that the commercial launch of Jio’s FTTH (Fiber-to-the-home) service will be announced during the annual general meeting of the Reliance Industries.

The Jio GigaFiber was announced during the annual general meeting of the Reliance Industries last year and has been on the tests since then.

A new report said that the company will announce that it will be commercially available in major cities of India later this year.

Last week, the Reliance industries revealed that the GigaFiber beta trial tests are in their final stages.

The tech-giant company said that they want to install the high-speed broadband services in 50 million houses.

When the high-speed internet was announced, the GigaFiber services were offered to some, and those who availed the services had to pay Rs. 4,500 in deposit fees.

But the numbers went down after a cheaper fiber modem was announced by the company.
