8-year-old Sam has been in and out of the Destitute Animal Shelter in Bolton, Greater Manchester, since 2014.
Since he was rescued, he has been in and out of the animal shelter.
The last owner of Sam passed away six months after the dog was adopted. Since then, Sam has been in the Destitute Animal Shelter.
Sam has been re-homed 3 times and has been given back every time he gets adopted.
Karen Rickards, the manager of the Destitute Animal Shelter, said Sam has been so “unlucky” when it comes to adoption.

Karen added, “It’s never anything Sam’s done, he’s just constantly found himself in the wrong home at the wrong time. He’s currently our longest-serving resident. And yet he’s playful, gentle and absolutely loves people.”
Karen says they are continuously looking for someone who can take care of Sam.
According to the staff of the animal shelter, Sam is a great dog and he loves to make you laugh.
The animal shelter has also dedicated a post for Sam on their facebook page.

The post says, “He is playful and loving and can be quite lazy as well. He will need to be the only pet in the home and kept on a lead when on a walk as he will chase small furies (cats, rabbits, small dogs etc.)”
The post added, “He is obsessed with teddy’s and likes rip them up to see what’s in side. He is fine with children.”
We hope Sam finds a permanent home soon!!
