A rape case has been filed against Dr. PD Juyal the Vice Chancellor of the Nanaji Deshmukh Veterinary Science University in Madhya Pradesh.

On June 24, 2019, an FIR was lodged against Dr. PD Juyal under the Indian Penal Code 375.

According to Praveen Singh Dhurve, a police station in-charge, the Judicial Magistrate Court directed the police to register the FIR.

A 40-year-old woman approached the court as she was seeking for the court to file an FIR and investigate her claims and her complaint. But, the police or the women’s commission of Madhya Pradesh was listening to her.

Dr. PD Juyal the Vice Chancellor of the Nanaji Deshmukh Veterinary Science University in Madhya Pradesh challenged the order of the lower court and brought it to the high court.

On February 8, 2019, the high court said the magistrate court did the right thing.

Aman Sharma, the lawyer of the 40-year-old woman, said that the high court vacated the stay.

According to the 40-year-old woman, she met Dr. Juyal when she complained about the death of her dog due to a wrong treatment at the hospital of the Veterinary Science University.

The woman said that on March 17, 2019, Dr. Juyal brought her in a hotel room and raped her.

The woman also said that Dr. Juyal promised her that she will be getting a job.

The Nanaji Deshmukh Veterinary Science University in Madhya Pradesh is a government-owned facility.
