Horrible pictures that are viral on the internet shows a 33-year-old man completely covered in toxic tar after he fell into a pit of wet asphalt.

The man, whose identity was not shared with the public, survived after falling into a pool of toxic tar in Russia after he got rescued by passers-by.

He reportedly tripped into a pit of asphalt in an abandoned factory in the western city of Pavlovsk, which is located near Saint Petersburg.

Nurses at the hospital had to remove the sticky tar from his body with the help of razor blades.

It reportedly took the nurses and the doctors a couple of hours to remove the tar from every corner and inch of his body.

Doctors later said that his life was no longer in danger and was discharged from the hospital afterward.
