Man With 8 Lakh Rupees Credit Card Debt Commits Suicide With 4-Year-Old Daughter

Jagatpuri, Shahdara: A 35-year-old man who had Rs. 8 Lakh Credit Debt committed suicide with her 4-year-old daughter by jumping off the terrace of a building in the area.

Officials said that the incident happened on Monday early morning.

Preliminary investigations revealed that Suresh Kumar and his 4-year-old daughter went to the terrace of the building on Monday at 3 am.

The father then jumped off the terrace while holding his daughter in his hands.

The wife of Suresh Kumar saw the incident and jumped off the building too.

Suresh Kumar succumbed to his injuries, 31-year-old Manjeet Kaur, his wife, sustained injuries and so did his 4-year-old daughter.

During an interview with the police, Manjeet Kaur, the wife of Suresh, said that his husband had Rs. 8 lakh credit card dept.

Manjeet said that his husband was under stress as bank officials kept calling him every day.

The police said that they were informed by the suicide attempt after the neighbors of the family saw their bodies lying on the road.

The family was brought to the GTB hospital in Shahdara where Suresh Kumar was declared as dead upon arrival.

The 4-year-old daughter sustained bone fractures in her two legs.

Manjeet Kaur and her daughter are currently in a stable condition and are recovering from the injuries they sustained.

Suresh Kumar and his family were living on the ground floor of the building, the family was living in the flat of Manjeet Kaur’s Father, who currently lives in Punjab.

Suresh Kumar worked in a private company in Gurgaon.

The body of Suresh Kumar was sent for an autopsy and was handed over to the family members of Manjeet Kaur afterward.
