The Meteorological Department of India said that the Monsoon will hit Telangana and Andhra Pradesh before June 20, 2019.

Mukund Rao, a meteorologist at the IMD Hyderabad said, “We expect monsoon to enter Telangana after 16 June, the same for Andhra. It will enter this region after 2-3 days. In south coastal Andhra, we have given heatwave warning for 3 days and in Telangana for 2 days. Monsoon is expected to be normal.”

Earlier this month, the Indian Meteorological Department predicted that the monsoon will hit the states by June 12, but due to Cyclone Vayu, the arrival of the Monsoon got delayed.

This caused a rise in the temperature in Hyderabad.

Mr. Rao added, “On Friday, the temperature in most of the places was recorded between 37 to 42 degrees Celsius.”
