Mother Finds Out She Is Pregnant Just 1 Hour Before Giving Birth To Baby Boy
A 28-year-old woman from Wigan found out that she was pregnant only 1 hour before she gave birth to a baby boy.
She went to the hospital and was admitted for complaining severe stomach cramps. The doctors then found out that she was pregnant and was ready to give birth.
On September 1, 2020, 28-year-old Tasha Davies successfully gave birth to Alexander Isaac Gohan Hern, a baby boy.
He weighed 9lb 7oz on Tuesday 1 September at 7.30 am at Wigan Infirmary.
Tasha and Martin Hern, her partner, had no idea that she was pregnant.
Tasha said that she gained some extra weight in recent months and didn’t think about the possibility of being pregnant.
Tasha explained:
I’ve been working really long hours from home during lockdown, have been snacking a lot and haven’t been going to the gym or doing any real exercise at all. I just put the extra weight down to that.
Well, you got that wrong Tasha.
Talking about what she felt after knowing that she was pregnant, Tasha said:
It was just such a mixture of shock and surprise. I didn’t have any morning sickness and experienced no symptoms at all. Right towards the very end, about 24 hours before he came, my belly became really bloated. But by then I was getting severe stomach pains and hadn’t passed water for 24 hours so we thought there was something really wrong. It was really scary – about 3am the night before I started hyperventilating and that’s when the pain really kicked in. I think that’s when the contractions started but, of course, we didn’t know. When we arrived at the hospital, the nurses asked about whether I could be pregnant and I said no. But then they said they were going to do a test and the possibility started to sink in. We were just in absolute shock when he arrived.
On August 28, 2020, the pair just brought a new house, so for Martin, the father of the baby boy, it was a tough week.
Martin said that he did not know what to and added that he had to do the shopping all at once.
Martin said:
I honestly didn’t know what to think when we went to the hospital. Tasha was seen by a triage nurse and wheeled away to be treated, and I waited in a corridor. Fifteen minutes later a nurse came, shouted my name and said Tasha had gone into labour and they were taking her to the delivery suite. It was so surreal. I went to bed that night thinking I was going to pick up a washer-dryer. Instead I was going to the hospital to find out I was having a baby boy.
The new parents said that they are thrilled with the arrival of their baby boy even if they had no idea.
They said they are looking forward to start their new life, a family life.
Great things happen to people that wait, such an amazing story!
