Nigerian National Arrested In Noida For Trying To Buy 450 Kilograms Of Ghee From Patanjali By Using A Fake Debit Card

Shoxy Aby, a 45-year-old Nigerian National, was arrested in Greater Noida for trying to buy 450 kilograms of ghee by using a fake debit card.

The police said that 2 foreigners came to a Patanjali Mega Store in Taimur Nagar, New Delhi and tried to buy 450 kilograms of Ghee worth Rs. 2.25 lakhs.

The staff of the store then filed a complaint against the two and said that they made a payment of Rs. 2 lakhs through a card but when they were asked about the details of the card, the 2 ran away.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the transaction was made through a USA Bank Card.

Chinmoy Biswal, a senior police officer from Delhi, said, “Thereafter, police gathered all the information about the accused persons and arrested Aby from Greater Noida in Uttar Pradesh, they said, adding that he earlier identified himself name as Philips.”

The police added that Aby admitted that his debit card was cloned and was given to him by his friend.

The two foreigners wanted to buy the ghee and sell it in Nigeria at higher prices.
