Authorities managed to rescue a 2-year-old scared leopard that entered a salon so it can hide without causing any harm to the animal.

Officials said the leopard was first seen in a backyard of a house in Badshahpur Village.

The scared leopard ran and hid inside a local salon.

Authorities from a local wildlife team rescued the leopard after two hours of continuous effort.

Throughout the process, a local sustained scratch injury from the animal.

The man was injured when the leopard rushed towards the salon.

The salon owner ran out of the salon and lowered his shutters so the leopard could be trapped inside.

The locals called the authorities and reported the incident.

Subhash Yadav, the DFO of the area, said, “The leopard is undergoing medical examination following which it will be let off in the jungle. We believe that he might have strayed into the village looking for easy prey maybe a goat or a dog.”

Yadav added, “The shop owner exhibited the immense presence of mind and lowered his shutters otherwise the situation might have been worse.”

Extra security measures are currently being done in the Badshahpur Village.
