Philippine’s President Rodrigo Duterte says he “used to be gay” and was “cured” after meeting Honeylet Avancena

Rodrigo Roa Duterte, better known as Digong, the president of the Philippines, said that he “used to be gay” before dating his first wife, Elizabeth Zimmerman.

President Duterte made the comment while he was giving a speech to the Filipino Community in Tokyo on May 30.

The President accused Senator Antonio Trillanes IV, his political opponent, of being gay.

Then he added that he was a “bit gay” while he was married to Elizabeth Zimmerman, the marriage of the President and Elizabeth was annulled in 2000.

He then said that he was “cured” from being gay after he met Honeylet Avancena, his current wife.

The President said, “I became a man again! So beautiful women cured me.”

He added, “I hated handsome men afterwards. I now prefer beautiful women.”

This is not the first time the president of the Philippines has said something about the LGBT Community.

3 years ago, the president called the US Ambassador as a “gay son of a “b***h” during his speech.

2 years ago, the president said that he is against same-sex marriage and added that recognizing men to men and women to women marriages in the country will not be acceptable. But later that year, the president said that the rights of the LGBT community are going to be protected during his presidency.

earlier this year, Mr. Duterte also said that the Catholic Church will ‘disappear in 25 years’
