Pope Francis Slaps Woman’s Hand After She Tried To Grab Him Towards Her During New Year’s Eve Celebration

Pope Francis was caught on cam slapping a woman’s hand after she tried to grab him towards her during the New Year’s Eve celebrations.

In the video, you can see Pope Francis angered with the fact that the woman tried to pull him towards her in a rude manner.

The incident happened when Pope Francis was walking in the St. Peter’s Square in the Vatican City on December 31, 2019.

The woman can be heard shouting “Pope!” and “Happy New Year” as he was walking past the people around him.

The Pope stops to touch the hands of the excited members of the public.

As the Pope was walking away from the people, a woman grabs his hands and refuses to let go even after the Pope tried to shake the hand away.

The security of Pope Francis didn’t do much about the woman’s attempt, so Pope Francis ended up slapping the woman’s hand away.

The woman stared at the Pope after the incident.

After the incident, the Pope went to admire the scene that was set up for New Year in the Vatican City.

The Pope was also seen shaking the hands of other people after the incident and even kissed the cheek of a baby.

On Wednesday, the Pontiff apologized for losing patience with the worshiper before using his New Year’s Day address to denounce violence against women.

The pope said, “Love makes us patient. So many times we lose patience, even me, and I apologize for yesterday’s bad example.”

This is not the first time Pope Francis was caught on cam getting angry from the acts of the public.

Earlier this year, The Pope was caught on cam pulling his hand away from people that were trying to kiss the papal ring.

At the time, Alessandro Gisotti, the Vatican Spokesman, said, “The Holy Father told me that the motivation was very simple: hygiene.”

He added, “He wants to avoid the risk of contagion for the people, not for him.
