Sanjeev Punalekar Gets Conditional Bail In Narendra Dabholkar Murder Case
A special court in Pune granted conditional bail to Sanjeev Punalekar, a lawyer, who is involved in the Nardendra Dabholkar.
Vikram Bhave, the assistant of Sanjeev Punalekar, and Sanjeev Punalekar were arrested by a team of the CBI on May 25.
Sanjeev Punalekar is currently accused of advising Sharad Kalaskar, one of the 2 shooters who shot Narendra Dabholkar on August 20, 2013.
Punalekar allegedly told one of the assailants to destroy the weapons that were used in the crime.
According to Virendra Ichalkaranjikar, the lawyer of Sanjeev Punalekar, the bail was a conditional one, and will be required to visit the CBI office two times per week, is not allowed to leave India without the permission of the CBI, and is not allowed to pressure the witnesses who are involved in the case.
The CBI was against the bail plea of Sanjeev Punalekar.
The investigating agency said that Sanjeev might tamper the evidence.
Sanjeev Punalekar is the fourth person who has been granted bail in the murder case of Narendra Dabholkar.
Amit Degvekar, Amol Kale, and Rajesh Bangera have been granted bail earlier.
