Sister Dresses Up As A Bush So She Could “Secretly” Capture Sibling Getting Engaged

A sister from Wisconsin is definitely getting the sister of the year award for 2019 after she dressed up as a bush to photograph the proposal of her sibling.

23-year-old Therese Merkel from Wisconsin wanted to capture the special moment of Rachel, her older sister.

The best way she could do this was by not getting seen, this led to the idea of dressing herself as a bush.

Merkel shared the pictures of her dressed up as a bush while wearing a camouflage ghillie suit as she took beautiful images of the surprise proposal.

The images went viral on Social media, and people started to tag their friends, family, and siblings so they could do something similar when their time comes.

Therese had been helping Andre Philibeck, the fiancé of Rachel, in planning the proposal, and while they were planning, she jokingly suggested that she could hide as a bush to take amazing pictures of the proposal.

Andrew liked the idea of Therese and decided to go with it.

Recalling the idea and the proposal, the amazing sister said, “While I was hiding, I had the perfect view of the whole thing. Andrew knew I was hiding and wasn’t even sure I was there when he walked down — that’s how baller this suit was.”

Andrew proposed to Rachel by reciting a poem and by getting down to one knee.

The first attempt failed after the ring got stuck in his pocket, but luckily, it got out and tried again.

On the second attempt, Rachel said “Yes”!

Therese said, “I revealed my organic-looking self by screaming ‘She said yes’. Rachel was very confused and I was legit crying tears of joy because of how special the whole event was.”

Therese shared the amazing story on her Twitter account, where she has over 1000 followers.

While posting the pictures, she wrote, “Sister got engaged this weekend and I dressed as a bush in the wilderness to watch/capture the moment. We are 1 yr apart… why are our lives so different rofl.”

Her tweet has over 179k favorites, over 21k retweets, and over 1000 comments!
