Social Media Influencer Nearly Drowns To Death After Getting Trapped Under Ice While Filming TikTok Video
A social media influencer says he nearly drowned to death after he got trapped under ice while filming a TikTok video.
Jason Clark, who has over 403,000 followers, shared a video on his Instagram account, which showed him swimming beneath a sheet of ice and being able to find a way out of it.
While sharing the video, he said he has never been this close to dying.
On his Instagram account, he has over 32,000 followers.
Clark explained his goal was to swim in the frozen body of water from point-to-point while a sidekick filmed him from above.
But in the video, you can see the man having a hard time swimming out of the ice.
He added, “I didn’t think my eyeballs would freeze so quick.”
The video shows Clark trying to find an opening in the ice where he was swimming in.
He said, “The surface of the water where the hole was didn’t look any different than the bottom of the ice.”
He added, “When I flipped around and felt solid ice I thought I was at the hole.”
After realizing that there was no exit, Clark, the man in the video, followed his trail back.
But getting out was not easy for him.
Clark said the dust that he had kicked up on his way had drifted, leading him further down the ice.
He explained, “I then tried to break the ice with my back. I don’t know what made me turn around one last time.”
Clark said he was short on breath and could not see anything.
He added, “I had accepted that was it and I wasn’t going to make it.”
He later managed to swing his hand up and got to break through the ice that was keeping him down.
He added, “I then got a ton of energy to stand up.”
He added, “It took two to three breaths to regain my vision after resurfacing.”
The person that was filming the video initially thought Clark was just joking around and did not realize how serious the entire situation was.
The video that Clark shared on Instagram has been viewed by over 200,000 people.
Will Smith, an actor in the Hollywood Industry, reposted the video on his account and said “aww hell naw.”
If you think the near-death experience stopped Clark from shooting the video, you’re wrong.
After facing death face to face, Clark went back for a second attempt.
He said, “The second attempt went a little better. You have to try it twice!”
It looks like this man has a death wish.
