Store In Dublin Temporarily Closes After Video Of Rat Crawling Out Of Bread Bag Went Viral

A store in Dublin had to be shut down temporarily after a video of a rat crawling out of a bag of bread was shared online.

According to a report published by the Independent, an Applegreen store in Cherry Orchard, Dublin, was closed after a rat crawled out of a bag of bread.

The video was shared on social media last week.

The incident happened at an Applegreen store at a petrol station.

It showed a huge sewer rat climbing out from the loaf bread bag and running across the counter before it went rogue behind the oven.

The video went viral on social media as people were disgusted with the fact that a huge rat came out of a bag of loaf bread.

A user who saw the video said, “I’m scarred after seeing the rat in Applegreen video, never want to eat outside of my house again.”

Another user on Twitter said, “That rat in Applegreen doesn’t surprise me one bit… their shops are filthy.”

Applegreen released a statement about the incident after the video went viral.

In the statement, they said, “Our Cherry Orchard site has been temporarily closed following a pest control issue. We are conducting a full investigation into the incident, which falls well below our high operating standards.”

The statement added, “The health and safety of our customers is our first priority and we are taking this issue extremely seriously.”
