Nancy Boroc was born with an Orthopedic Disability.
During her interview with Inquirer, Nancy said she is used to the discrimination.
Nancy added that she gets discriminated a lot in school, local markets, and sometimes in her own neighborhood, but Nancy said this was her first time to have such an experience at a government office.
Nancy said she has no intentions to humiliate the security officer or the government of the Philippines.
Nancy added she just wants to shine a light on what people with disabilities have to deal with and go through each day.
In her Facebook post, Nancy said, “I’m not posting to rant but to let people know about our daily life struggles and situations. We are PWDs, [we are the] same as normal people, we have rights and privileges and exemptions.”
On her second attempt to enter the Bureau of Internal Revenue office in her locality, Nancy was allowed to enter the building by the same security officer who did not allow her to enter the building.
