William Charles “Charlie” McMillian, a 7-month-old baby, has been sworn-in as the Mayor of a town in Texas, becoming the youngest mayor in the United States of America.

Charlie was sworn in as the mayor of Whitehall in Texas.

During the inauguration ceremony, Charlie was wearing a black tuxedo.

The inauguration had over 150 people attending the party, and they celebrated when he was sworn as the new mayor.

Mayor Charlie took the official oath on Sunday. He was elected in October to serve the local communities in Grimes County.

During his campaign, Mayor Charlie went with the “Make America Kind Again” motto and stood on the podium with Chad and Nancy McMillian, his adoptive parents.

Mayor Charlie has his own customized oath of office, which was administered by Frank Pokluda.

The oath of Mayor Charlie read, “I, William Charles McMillan, do solemnly promise that I will faithfully execute the office of the Mayor of Whitehall and will to the best of my ability:”

The oath added, “Be kind to everyone on the playground, promote life, adoption and good, clean country living, pave all the gravel roads, take cookies to the Volunteer Fire Department, catch the biggest catfish, and preserve, protect and defend the community of Whitehall, so help me, Mom and Dad!”

Mayor Charlie was elected to serve the Whitehall Community in the Grimes County in Texas.

Each year, the position of mayor is auctioned off at the Whitehall Volunteer Fire Department BBQ Fundraiser.

This year, Charlie was the highest bidder, and he became the youngest mayor in America.

Chad McMillan, the son of Mayor Charlie, talked about Charlie.

Chad said, “Charlie loves folks from all political leanings; Republican, Democrat, Independent. Regardless of anyone’s background, he loves them and we hope he can be a unifier in our country.”

Mayor Charlie and his family are going to visit Senator Ted Cruz next month in Washington D.C.
