A man from France was craving for cheap cigarettes, so he ended up breaking quarantine rules, however, he ended up getting lost in the mountains.
The smoker ended up sparking a major rescue operation when he got lost in a mountain range.
The smoker attempted to cross into Spain from his house in Perpignan, in South France.
The man was spotted and stopped by the police at a checkpoint.
Instead of stopping, the man decided to hike through the mountains, which separate France and Spain, only to stumble into a stream and then some brambles.
After realizing that he got lost, the man ended up calling the emergency services, which sent a helicopter so he could be rescued.
The news was announced by the police rescue service in the Pyrénées-Orientales region wrote on Facebook.
