Police Officer Who Fed Homeless Man Poop Sandwich Fired Again For Vile Prank
A San Antonio police officer that fed a homeless man poop sandwich has been fired again for another similar incident.
In 2016, Matthew Luckhurst, who was a bike patrol officer with the San Antonio Police Department, was fired for giving a homeless man a sandwich that was filled with dog poo.
However, after appealing his first termination, a judge sided with the request of Matthew to get his job back due to a technicality.
He was then given a second indefinite suspension the same year for another poo related incident.
The technicality that let Matthew off for the first time was down to a rule that states an officer cannot be punished for conduct that happened over 180 days prior to the disciplinary hearing.
However, 2 months after receiving his first suspension, Matthew received a second one for another childish prank that he was involved within the year 2016.
The officer was found to have defecated in the women’s restroom and did not flush and smeared a brown substance on the seat.
Matthew is now undergoing his second arbitration trial in the hopes of being reinstated for a second time.
The indefinite suspension report of Matthew Luckhurst explained what happened in June 2016.
The report said, “On or around June 12, 2016, during the night shift, between approximately 5:30 pm to 3:30 am, after another male officer went into the women’s locker room at the Bike Patrol Office and defecated in the toilet assigned to female personnel, Officer Matthew C. Luckhurst went into the same facility and defecated on top of the previously deposited excrement.”
The report added, “The toilet was left unflushed by both officers intentionally. Luckhurst and the other officer obtained a brown substance with the consistency of tapioca and spread it on the toilet seat, giving the appearance that there was fecal matter on the seat.”
A city attorney said Matthew harassed, intimidated, and degraded female officers with the pranks that he did.
The attorney of Matthew is now arguing that it was extreme to terminate Luckhurst for the incident, where he ate poop.
The first witness of the trail was a colleague of Luckhurt who was working at the time of the prank.
Jessica Medrano, the witness, was eight months pregnant when the incident happened.
She said she was mad and disgusted at what the men had done to the only female toilet that was available.
During the trial, which was took place earlier this week, it was said that the colleagues of Luckhurt did not want him back on the force.
