WhatsApp All Set To Introduce Colorful Text Status Updates, Testing In Progress
Leading chatting platform WhatsApp is now making another move to offer better options to its users. With astounding growth in its number of users, this mobile app has already reached 14billion mark.
With nothing less in its frequent updates, this mobile application has left no stone unturned in simplifying the necessity of communication purposes. Starting with voice calls, video calls and then status updates, there is nothing less than our expectations.
There is no room left in the aspects of security too. Especially the two-step verification method added to the app is quite impressive and prospective at the same time.
Now, after so many updates, it seems that the people are bored with common plain texts and utterly updates which they can do in any other social media platform like Facebook or Instagram. So, in a bid to beat the odds, WhatsApp is now working on launching an update that allows people to update a colorful status.
This feature’s details has gone viral recently on Facebook with the pictures surfacing the social media platforms. Sources claim that the experts are now testing the update and will be launched very soon.
It is believed that the to try these new colorful text statuses, one has to head to the Status tab and look for the floating pencil button on the bottom right. This symbol is not visible on many phones even though the latest 2.17.291 beta version is in use. But the pictures below are saying so, however, it could be a server side switch or it might require you clear app data to show up.
However, the new colored text status feature screen offers three icons for adding emojis, selecting the font, and changing the background color. After you’ve typed your text and messed with those to find your perfect fit, you tap the green send button to post it as your status, tadaa! that’s it. There you go with your status.
Well, it seems that we have to wait for a while for the formal appearance of this update.
As of now, there is only report from the authorities that the testing is in progress and it quite clearly indicates that the pictures that have gone viral are from the server’s side.
