IBPS RRB 2015 CWE IV Exam Syllabus and Tips for Preparation:

In the recent years, level of competition in Banking Sector is interestingly increased. So, focused & planned preparation is very important. Here we are going to discuss how/what to prepare to crack IBPS RRB exam, what topics to focus more, which topics should given less time.

IBPS RRB 2015 CWE IV Exam pattern:

Step 1: All India Common Written Examination (CWE)

IBPS RRB Exam is conducted for a total of 200 Marks with time of 2 Hours 30 Minutes. Candidates have to be given online exam only once for selection in various RRBs. Candidates need to attain minimum cut off marks in each section & overall cut off marks will be decided by IBPS to become eligible for Interview.

Step 2:  Face to Face Interview according to your Merit in various Regional Rural Banks. Interview will be generally for 30 marks. Candidates have to secure minimum qualifying marks. In an Interview, the main focus is on your personality, confidence, knowledge of Banking Sector, Current Affairs related to Banking, About RRBs, RBI Banking Rates, and Personal Information.

IBPS RRB 2015 CWE IV Syllabus:

IBPS RRB CWE IV Syllabus is divided into 5 subjects. They are Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude (Numerical Ability), General Awareness, English / Hindi language, and Computer Knowledge. Candidates can opt out any part form English Language or Hindi Language. Each part is of equal importance. So, candidates have to focus on each & every part of this exam.

There are 40 questions each from each subject. Participants are required to qualify in every subject. Each question carries 1 mark. There is a Negative Marking of 0.25 marks in this exam. Candidates can answer only those questions on which they are fully confident because there is negative marking. Wrong answer may lessen your chances for selection.

IBPS RRB Reasoning:

(Weightage: 40 questions and 50 marks)

Reasoning part is very important aspect of this exam. This tests your power of observation and mental ability. As this section has the one of the highest allocation of marks, try to practice it thoroughly. Most of the questions in this section are comprehensive type. A paragraph is given and 4 to 5 questions asked related to that paragraph. Focus on topics like problem solving, mirror images, problems that involve figures, Venn Diagrams, Number Series, Coding and de-coding, statement & conclusion type questions, comprehensional Reasoning. Reasoning part play a crucial role in deciding merit of candidates. This is also a section where you can get good scores.

IBPS RRB Quantitative Aptitude:

(Weightage: 40 questions of 50 marks)

This section tests a person’s mathematical ability. Candidates who scores in this section have fare chances to score high in this exam. It covers areas like probability, time and distance, mensuration, profit and loss, number system, fractions and the like. To prepare for this section, practice as many sums as possible. Try to by heart multiplication tables. Also try to solve questions by using mental tricks. Don’t take much time on one question. Solve question according to merit. Practice and time management is the key in achieving good scores here. Focus on topics like questions related to Data Interpretation & Simplification, Decimal and Fractions, Simplification, Percentages, Ratio and Proportion, Averages, Interest (Simple and Compound), Profit and Loss, Time and distance, Problems on Sharing, Frequency polygon, Bar-diagram, Pie-chart.

Candidates are advised to save time from Reasoning, English & General Awareness as this part takes more time to solve the problems. It is not practically possible to solve all 40 Questions in given time.

IBPS RRB General Awareness:

(Weightage: 40 questions of 40 marks)

This section trains candidates on current events and other diverse topics like economics, finance, politics, social sciences, cultural events, computer knowledge. Candidates, who are up to date about facts & news of everyday aspects, will score better in this section. In IBPS exams mostly questions of General Awareness are asked from Current Affairs. So, focus mainly on current affairs related to Banking & Finance Sector. Focus on topics like National & International news, important dates, Current Science, Technology, Sports & Culture, questions on Banking, Finance & Marketing.

Candidates are advised to improve their knowledge on daily current affairs by reading newspaper, magazines related to current affairs.

IBPS RRB English / Hindi:

(Weightage: 40 questions of 40 marks)

Another important & scoring part of IBPS exam is General English/ Hindi. Candidate can select any of the two languages. Comprehension in this section is very lengthy. So candidates have to manage time to read whole passage & answer to the Questions. This part is easy to score & less time taking if properly prepared. Candidates who opted Hindi have much fare chance to score more because it take less time to do Antonym, Synonym, Cloze Test & Comprehension reading. IBPS RRB Computer Syllabus Topics:

(Weightage: 40 questions of 20 marks)

In IBPS exam there is additional part of questions related to Computer Knowledge. Candidates can easily score in these sections because syllabus is not so vast. This part is less time taking and helps in solving more number of questions. Question are asked from Computer basics like Computer Organization, Generations of computer, Input & Output Device, Shortcuts & Basic knowledge MS word, MS Excel, MS power point, Memory Orientation, Internet, LAN, WAN, Modem, Computer Abbreviations, Modern day Technology.

Tips to Crack IBPS RRB CWE IV Exam 2015:

Plan early for the exam: Having decided on the post, it’s time to begin preparations for examinations.

Practice More: More than qualifying, scoring high marks increases your prospects. The more you practice, the better are your chances of getting good marks in the examination. Regular practice will boost your confidence level to attend the exam without fear. For this, there are two methods that can be followed.

(i) Coaching centre: Many coaching centers for bank exams have sprung up recently and every city/town has at least one. Here you will have access to trainers for getting solved your doubts, conducting regular mock tests. The fees starts from Rs.6000 and goes up to Rs.10, 000

(ii) Self study: This is the normal route many aspirants tend to travel. You will have to invest some time among other works in preparing for the exam.
