Amidst the speculations regarding the exit of Navjot Singh Sidhu from the Kapil Sharma’s show; the show’s lead Kapil Sharma has cleared the air on the same. He turned down the rumors of Archana Puran Singh replacing Navjot Singh Sidhu.

Kapil Sharma stated that Sidhu will be off the show only for a while just as it happened earlier. Confirming the news, this Television host went saying, “There is no truth to this news. This has happened before. For example, when we shot for Sairat episode, Sidhu sir was not there, even when Jackie Chan came, we called Raveenaji for the episode. I read this news but the truth is that I haven’t actually spoken to Sidhu sir. The news is absolutely false.”

Sidhu and Kapil has a long-lasting professional relationship since their days on Colors channel’s Comedy Nights With Kapil after which Navjot joined him as soon as he switched to Sony.

With the never-ending rumors that have been surfacing the Internet since some time, it is believed that Archana Puran Singh might replace Sidhu.

This story came out implicating that Kapil had offered Sidhu’s chair to Archana as the former is suffering from health issues. The story added that Sidhu is not fond of Singh. However, Kapil didn’t relent and continued with Singh for yet another episode. Later, either Kapil nor Sidhu spoke about story ever after.

 

Archana also opined her appearance in Kapil Sharma’s show, said that she will be replacing Sidhu but only for one episode.

She said, “It feels weird sitting on Sidhu ji’s chair as we all are so used to seeing him on this throne. Kapil called me the same day of the shoot and I couldn’t say no to an old friend as we go back a long way. I’m here only for a few episodes, once Sidhu ji is fit and fine, he will take over his throne. I will miss the show when he comes back and I’ll always be waiting for Kapil to call me to come again on this show.”

 

Back then when Kapil Sharma show’s leading comedians Sunil Grover, Ali Asgar and Sugandha Mishra left the sets, Sidhu is one of the few handful of staff who remained with him.

Let us simply hope that their union lasts longer.
