Sunny Pawar Walked The Red Carpet At Oscars But His Mom Was Not Able To Watch Him, The Reason Behind This Will Melt Your Heart

People went awe looking at the 8-year-old Sunny Pawar nailing the red carpet event. This ‘Lion’ actor stole Hollywood’s hearts with one single go. The photographs of Dev Patel alongside Sunny are making rounds on the Internet since the 27th morning.

But there is a dark side of Sunny Pawar‘s personal life, of which everyone is unaware of. Yes! Sunny belongs to a relatively lower middle-class family where one is barely capable of affording a television. All it took was a quick blow of luck that flipped the life of this little boy.

When the auditions for the Australian drama ‘Lion’ was conducted Sunny was the one student among the whole of 2000 schools. Sunny’s bait over winning the role of young ‘Saroo Brierley’ is quite tough and almost impossible. Though Sunny was poor with English, his bubbly and charismatic personality got him the desired breakthrough which he had never expected or even capable of expecting at his bare 8.

‘Lion’ was undoubtedly one of the best movies of 2016. So obviously the cast and crew of Lion were present at the Oscars rejoicing their hard work and it included the little guy who was making big strides with his remarkable personality on and off the screen.

Coming to the other side, though Sunny walked the red carpet alongside some amazing stars, here’s his mother who lives in Kalina, west side slums of Mumbai. However, his father assisted him during the event. His mother was eagerly waiting to watch him on the Television.

She, along with two grandmothers, uncles, siblings and cousins; all of who had gathered in front of the TV to watch their kid at the event, and what happened next is bitterly sad, as the cable connection at their slum is merely good, his mom was not even able to watch him.

When asked about her feeling about Sunny’s success, her mother modestly said:

“He will get on with his normal life again soon. And he will go back to school. We have no plans to move out of this slum just because our son has become a star. We will continue to stay here and we will live a normal life just like before.”

Despite the remarkable success Sunny cliched, he is always a young little boy to his mom and her simplicity must be appreciated.
