Amidst the coronavirus outbreak, people all over the world are preparing themselves and are stockpiling everyday essentials such as food, water, supplies, and toilet paper as a response to the coronavirus crisis.

In Australia, people have been buying so much toilet paper that some supermarkets have empty shelves.

As a response to the shortage of toilet papers, NT News, a newspaper company, printed 8 extra pages for people so they could use it as toilet paper.

This is a simple yet effective idea.

NT News is a newspaper company that is known for its humorous front pages, said The Guardian.

On Thursday, the newspaper company printed a special 8-page insert with watermarks and a cut-out guide that people can use as toilet paper.

Matt Williams, an editor for the NT News Newspaper, said the papers that they made are selling well.

Matt explained, “We are a newspaper known around the world who understands the needs of our readers.”

He added, “Territorians … are in great need of toilet paper right now so we had to deliver what they needed.”

The bulk buying of toilet paper in Australia led hashtags such as #ToiletPaperEmergency and #ToiletPaperApocalypse.

After the incident, major grocers in Australia started to place limits on purchases of toilet paper on Wednesday after a rush of panic buying related to the coronavirus fears emptied shelves as the country recorded its third case of local transmission of the disease.

As of this writing, 80 Australians have been affected by the virus and have killed 3 people in total.
