Massive Alligator Removed From Middle Of Busy Road After It Decided To Chill There
Emergency Georgia responders had to safely remove a massive alligator from a busy road after it decided to chill there.
According to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, emergency responders teamed up to relocate a large alligator that decided to block traffic by taking in the sun in the middle of the road.
The Sheriff’s Office said that officers from its animal enforcement unit worked together with deputies and Macon-Bibb firefighters when the gator was reported.
The incident happened on the afternoon of April 13, 2020, in the middle of Joe Tamplin Industrial Boulevard in Macon, Georgia.
Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Animal Enforcement Unit Officers Rebecca Galeazzo, Sonja Adams and Adriana Borden, along with BCSO deputies and Macon-Bibb firefighters, answered the call this afternoon and removed this alligator sunning itself and blocking traffic on Joe Tamplin Industrial Boulevard. A video that was shared by the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office shows emergency responders safely lifting the alligator out of the road, allowing the traffic to pass by normally.
The massive alligator was relocated to the Bond Swamp, confirmed the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.
