The Beast Of Kavos: Man Who Raped 100 Women Fell 100ft Off Cliff While Fleeing Police
A serial rapist that had raped nearly 100 women has sustained very severe injuries after he fell into a ravine on a Greek holiday island.
47-year-old Dimitris Aspiotis, who is also known as the Beast of Kavos, plunged 100 feet into a ravine on the Greek Holiday Island as he tried to avoid being arrested by the police.
Authorities arrested him after the emergency services worked for 3 hours to rescue him, hauling him out of the ravine on a stretcher.
The police were hunting Aspiotos in connection to the rape of a 34-year-old woman around 2 weeks ago.
In 2012, he was given a 52-year jail sentence in 2012 for raping up to 100 women, which includes 7 British tourists.
But because of changes in the law, he was released from jail after serving just 6 years in jail.
The 47-year-old man sustained a ruptured kidney and fractures to his leg, hip, and spine after falling.
The incident happened last Friday in the town of Lefkimmi.
Aspiotis remains in hospital under police guard and is set to be returned to prison once he recovers, having breached the terms of his parole.
33-year-old Kayleigh Morgan, a victim of Aspiotis, waived her right to anonymity to campaign against the release of the rapist.
She said that it was time for the authorities in Greek to throw away the key.
Morgan said:
I hope he stays in pain. I warned he would strike again and was proved right. I’m just glad he was caught before yet another woman’s life was ruined.
The serial rapist was released from jail back in 2018 after he successfully argued that he was a changed man who had overcome his cocaine addiction, which forced him to do such horrific acts to nearly 100 women.
An investigation was launched after an Albanian woman on the Greek island was reportedly raped for 3 days at knifepoint.
The woman, whose identity was not shared with the public, was dragged into a forest before being raped
