The United States of America is known for its clear skies and bright mornings, especially in the summertime, however, people in some parts of America are currently witnessing something that they had never seen before.

In Oregon, residents were met with shock after their skies turned bloody red.

The images that we are going to share below are not sunset images, instead, they were taken on the morning of September 8, 2020.

The sky above the state turned bloody red as wildfires across the country are burning.

The sky should be blue, but because of the flames and dust, it turned red.

The color of the sky is known as the Rayleigh scattering, which is caused by smoke particles from the wildfires.

It is reported that 40 large fires are currently burning across Oregon, Washington, and California. Extreme heat and high winds spurred on the flames.

It was also reported that one of the major fires there was started by a gender reveal.

The fires are so bad in the country right now that even firefighters are being evacuated.

Experts are calling this a ‘once-in-a-generation event’.
