Family Dog That Mauled 5-Year-Old Australian Boy Will Be Euthanized
A family pet dog that mauled a 5-year-old boy from Australia will be euthanized, confirmed multiple reports.
The young boy was rushed to a hospital after they were mauled by the family dog on the evening of Sunday.
According to reports, the incident happened on the evening of Sunday in a house in Lake Macquarie, New South Wales.
According to a report that was published by 9News Australia, the 5-year-old boy was mauled by the dog on the left side of his neck.
The boy was treated at the scene by 2 ambulance crews.
He was later rushed to the Children’s Hospital at Westmead to undergo surgery.
A spokesperson of the New South West Ambulance said that the injuries of the boy are life-changing.
The dog has been identified as a 2-year-old Rottweiler type breed.
The dog will be euthanized as a result of the attack.
An official investigation has been launched in conjunction with Lake Macquarie Council.
