HP TET is the Teacher Eligibility Test conducted for recruitment of candidates into the various category of teachers like JBT, Shastri, TGT (Non-Medical), TGT (Medical), TGT (Arts) and Language Teacher etc. Himachal Pradesh Board of Education (HPBOSE) is going to conduct Himachal Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (HP TET) in the month of October 2017. Based on the previous year schedules the application process for HP TET 2017 should start by the mid of August. HP TET 2017 Tentative Schedule:
Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education is agency of Government of Himachal Pradesh entrusted with the responsibilities of prescribing courses of instructions and text books and conducting examinations for secondary school students in Himachal Pradesh. Teacher Eligibility Test known as TET is an Indian entrance examination for teachers. The test is mandatory for getting teaching jobs in government schools from Class 1 to Class 8. Paper 1 is meant for teachers opting for Class 1 to Class 5 and Paper 2 for Class 6 to Class 8.
It is conducted by both Central government and State governments in India. Most states conduct their own TET.
Important Dates:
- Application Process will start from mid of August
- Admit cards will be available from September
- Date of TET Exam will be in September or October 2017
- HP TET results will be out by 2nd Week of November
- HP TET 2017 counseling will be held in last week of November
Exam Pattern:
The candidates who are attending the TET exam should follow the exam pattern given below:
There are about 150 questions for each paper. Each question carries 1 mark i.e altogether 150 marks. The minimum qualifying marks will be 60%. The exam will be conducted in two papers in TET exam.
The question paper will be in two different languages they Hindi and English. If it is a Shastri exam the paper will be in half Hindi and half Sanskrit. If the exam is for Punjab and urdu language then the language will also be in Punjabi/ Urdu/English.
