Yes, Reliance Jio is all set to enter the broadband world with its JioFiber technology that is also expected to disrupt the broadband industry with its high speed and low data prices.
According to the ET reports, the Mukesh-Ambani led company is expected to launch the commercial service during Diwali season this year. Not only this, it is widely reported that Reliance Jio will be offering users with an offer wherein they will be able to avail 100GB of data at a price of Rs 500.
As soon as this news was out, the other big broadband players are already gearing up for the incoming tariff war. As observed, Airtel has already updated its existing broadband plans, followed by BSNL and MTNL.
Earlier this month, Reliance Jio made an official announcement stating that its broadband service will be rolled out in the following cities: Mumbai, Delhi-NCR, Ahmedabad, Jamnagar, Surat and Vadodara for free under its JioFiber Preview Offer.
As known for its free services, users will be able to obtain free three months worth of high-speed Internet through Reliance Jio’s ‘JioFiber Preview‘ offer.
As reported by Business Today, the broadband plan is expected to come with a JioMedia share device, a smart set-top box, routers and Power Line Communication devices.
“The broadband service prices are expected to start at Rs 500 for 600GB data and for 1000GB data at 100mbps speed, and subscribers would be required to pay Rs 2,000 a month,” the report read.
And here are some other amusing news from Jio, the company is now all set to launch other facilities like DTH, smart-TV boxes, IoT solutions; alongside its 1GBps broadband. Sources claim that the company has already laid cables all over India for its high-speed fiber broadband network.
The company is also expected to introduce landline phone services.Just like its previous services, it is believed that the company will remain user-friendly in both quality and service
