LATEST NEWS: Virat Kohli Finally Reacts On Dispute With Anil Kumble!
While the media and fans speculate on the current equation between team India head coach Anil Kumble and captain Virat Kohli, the duo was seen in action at Team India’s indoor net session in Birmingham. Kumble gave throw downs to Kohli and all seemed well despite some reports of both not being on talking terms.
This is contrary to an earlier media report which suggested that Kohli walked out of practice at the sight of Kumble. We had recently heard strong rumors that there is a major rift between the captain and the coach which has led to Kumble’s contract not getting extended after the Champions Trophy.

Kumble’s contract as Team India coach will end with Champions Trophy and BCCI has invited applications for the post. Although Kumble is in contention for the second term, he is not too keen on extending the contract if reports are to be believed.
Kumble’s future as coach of Team India remains under a cloud as he is among the 6 shortlisted candidates who will be interviewed by Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly, and VVS Laxman once the squad returns to India after the Champions Trophy. Kumble is yet to lose a Test or ODI series since being in charge as head coach.
Former Indian player Virender Sehwag and Tom Moody are the top contenders to take over Kumble as coach.
