Structure of RRB Entrance Exams:

The exam comprises of 4 sections including General Awareness, Analytical and Quantitative Skills, General Arithmetic and Language General Hindi/General English. Multiple choices will be provided for each question. There will be 120 questions for this test. The time allotted for this test will be 90 minutes.

  • General Science and Technical Ability: 90 Marks

Preparation Tips of RRB JE & SE Exam 2014:

  • General Science Section: For clearing the General Science section go through your  class XI and XII science books. Prepare your own bits from the Science books that will help you to secure approximately 40 marks.
  • Technical Ability Section: In the Technical ability section the questions related to their branch/ stream of BE/B.Tech will be asked to test their technical skills in academics. Hence candidates are recommended to go through all the Engineering Material they are  having with them and brush up the subject and form some short questions out of it to secure max. of  50 marks in technical ability section. This is the only section that differs for both Senior and Junior Engineer Examinations of RRB. Candidates can check the areas of concern that are going to be covered in these two examinations and prepare accordingly.
  • Arithmetic Section: To clear the Arithmetic Section of SE Examination candidates must go through the mathematics sums of Algebra, Trigonometry and various other topics of 6th Class to 8th class books. With minimum preparation of Arithmetic candidates can ensure 20 Marks from this section.
  • General Awareness Section: Go through the News Papers archives and latest current affairs are available in various site, just download the necessary information on this area to cover 20 marks from this section.
  • General Intelligence and Reasoning section: Candidates will be tested on General Intelligence and reasoning section to test the accuracy skills of the appeared candidates. Develop logical thinking by preparing popular books of general intelligence and reasoning that are available in the market.
