Virender Sehwag Reminds Indians Citing Paralympic Medallist’s Example Over Poverty
Virender Sehwag, who is known for his destructive batting, and posting the witty tweets has now involved and talks about a serious issue in the country. He usually tickles bones with his tweets but this time, he looks serious about the serious issue.
We are seeing that people struggling with poverty are tempted or attracted and misled into taking up guns and enter into terrorism. Thus they brainwash them into extremist ideologies. We had recently seen the same rationale used for the unrest in Kashmir. It has seen deaths of more than 75.
But former Indian Cricketer Virender Sehwag took the issue seriously and clearly said that he doesn’t believe that poverty can be a trigger for someone to take up guns. He tweeted a heart-warming picture of the mother of Gold Medallist Paralympian, Mariyappan Thangavelu.

Sehwag made a relevant point that it is finally about the individual choices which people make to reach their destinies.
Thangavelu scripted history at the on-going Rio Paralympics, becoming the first Indian para-athlete to bag a gold medal in the men’s high jump-T42 finals. He is from Salem District in Tamil Nadu.
