Twitter Went Crazy Over India’s Victory Againt New Zealand In 1st Test
Chasing down a target of 434 runs, New Zealand went up and down in reaching the target. The visitors with only six wickets in hand started the Day-5 with hopes to win the first Test match of the series. But team India broke down their defence to register a 197-run win and lead the series 1-0.
Rather than talking much about batting, Indian bowling was outstanding by Ravichandran Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja, and Mohammad Shami. In the first Innings, Jadeja picked up 5-wickets and scored 50 runs, whereas Ashwin picked up 4 wickets in the first innings and 6 wickets in the second innings. Ashwin has become the quickest Indian bowler to take 200 wickets in Tests. Hence, Twitterati wasn’t just happy; they also congratulated the efforts of Indian bowlers.
Former Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag was the first to congratulate team India and record breaker Ravichandran Ashwin on Twitter.
RecordChandran Ashwin.
Well done on the first set of 200 wickets.
Surely many more sets to go@ashwinravi99 .— Virender Sehwag (@virendersehwag) September 25, 2016

Me: “Is this India’s 500th Test?”
Siva: “Yes”
Gavaskar: [West Indian accent] “Yah man”
Shastri: “BCCI can neither confirm nor deny rumours”— Alt Cricket (@AltCricket) September 26, 2016
Well done @imVkohli and @anilkumble1074 , great start to the home season.
Pujara, Vijay, Jadeja , Ashwin were exceptional.— Mohammad Kaif (@MohammadKaif) September 26, 2016
Shami loves disturbing the furniture with the ball. Has a mindset of a Pakistani fast bowler in that sense. #IndvNZ

Game in to 2nd session of final day. Plenty runs scored and assistance for spinners and reverse. Pretty good Test surface overall.

Slowly getting convinced that Vettori took off his glasses, got a clean shave and changed his name to Mitchell Santner

10 wickets in the match.. with a corn on his bowling hand. And Ashwin said he wasnt happy how the ball was coming out…! #IndvNZ

Jadeja chipped in with vital runs then took 5, triggering game changing collapse. Top order then again piled on runs. Ashwin did his thing.
