Rustom Movie Story:

“Rustom” is a crime drama, inspired by real-life murder case involving Naval officer KM Nanavati that took place in Bombay (now Mumbai) in 1959. The storyline of “Rustom” is about the Naval commander Rustom Pavri (played by Akshay), who gets married to Cynthia (Ileana).

But soon after, he learns that his wife has been cheating on him with Vikram Makhija (Arjan Bajwa), leading the naval commander to kill Vikram. How the story unfolds after the murder forms the crux of the film.

Rustom Movie Review & Rating:

Akshay Kumar slips into the shoes of Rustom Pavri with earnest conviction. He is every inch the patriotic Naval Commander and a husband who is passionately in love with his wife. Ileana D’cruz as Cynthia Pavri is competent and manages to look the character too.

The second half starts with a promise in the courtroom and although there are a few minor twists. Though the actors perform well, they fail to engage you emotionally, as the scenes are over-dramatised. The court scene int he second half dragged and tested the patience of the audience.
