NEET 2016 Counselling Schedule: AIPMT MBBS BDS Counselling Dates Procedure Details
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) declared NEET Phase I & Phase II Results 2016 on 16th August. About 4 lakh candidates qualified in the examination. All the candidates who had cleared the exam are eligible for the counselling. The NEET 2016 counselling will be conducted in online mode in two rounds from 22nd August to 25th August 2016. Candidates can check the NEET 2016 counselling schedule and required documents during the counselling from here. The first round seat allotment results will be declared on 28th August.
NEET Counselling Schedule 2016:
The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test or NEET-UG is an entrance examination in India, for students who wish to study any graduate medical course (MBBS), dental course (BDS) & NEET PG for the postgraduate course (MD / MS) in government or private medical colleges in India.NEET-UG (Undergraduate), for MBBS and BDS courses, will be conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). NEET-UG replaced the All India Pre Medical Test (AIPMT) and all individual MBBS exams conducted by states or colleges themselves. However, many colleges and institutes have taken a stay order and conducted private examinations for admission to their MBBS and BDS courses.

NEET 2016 Counselling Details:
The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has constituted the MCC for allotment of 15 per cent All India Quota MBBS and BDS seats through centralised NEET counselling 2016. Only those candidates can participate in the NEET counselling who were declared qualified by CBSE. The eligible candidates can log in to the official website cbseneet.nic.in to check their rank letter. NEET 2016 counselling will be conducted for approximately 3500 MBBS and BDS seats.
The candidates who had cleared the exam have to register themselves to the NEET 2016 counselling portal. After registering, candidates should fill the choices. Once the choice is filled in, it can be modified before locking it. During the choice locking period, it is necessary to lock the choices to get a print of your submitted options. If the candidate does not lock the choice submitted by him/her, it will be automatically locked at 5 pm of the last date of choice locking.
Note: The candidate can fill as many options as they wish during online choice filling. However, choices should be in the order of candidates’ preference.
Documents Required During Joining:
As counselling is the online mode no documents will be required for participating in online allotment process. The following are the documents required during joining for the college.
- Admit cards of exam issued by the CBSE
- Result/ rank letter issued by CBSE
- Date of birth certificate (if Metric certificate does not bear the same)
- Class 10th Certificate
- Class 10+2 Certificate
- Class 10+2 Marks Sheet
- Eight (8) Passport size photograph same as affixed on the application form.
- Provisional allotment letter generated on-line.
- Proof of identity.
