Gunja Madhu – Blind Cricket World Cup Winner, Needs To Get Into The Notice of Indian Govt
It’s the time when India and Pakistan are playing Cricket World Cup at the Wally Wilson Cricket Ground in Cape Town, South Africa. Pakistan scored 389 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in 40 overs. At the begining Pakistan bowled well and India lost wickets. Later, Indian cricket players played well and crowned as the Champions of Cricket World Cup. Many of you didn’t watch this match and you’re thinking that, when India & Pakistan Played World Cup? It’s 2014 Blind Cricket World Cup (BCWC). At that time, all the players who played in that cricket match have featured in papers & news channels.

In Blind Cricket World Cup 2014, Gunja Madhu, a player from Nalgonda district, Telangana has played an important role. When Madhu was playing with friends he lost his RIGHT EYE and slowly his Left also get infected. He managed to play with his left eye. His father left their family when Madhu was child and his mother named “Ali Vellu” is to work as a cook near by houses.
When he got chance to play in the World cup, his mother supported him. She borrowed some money and gave 10,000 rupees to him. He played very well and as a result we won the world cup. Madhu and his team members Meet PM Prime Mister Narendra Modi of INDIA, he applause the team and the Minister of Youth Affairs & Sports Mr. Sarbananda Sonowal Presented 5 Lakhs For the team. Everything is fine.
But what’s his position now? His mother’s health condition is not so good and he even couldn’t offer a single meal per day. Everyone has forgotten him. Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) distributes some crores of money among cricketers who play Ranji Trophy. But, no one is there to help this blind player. We just want him to grow up as a player. We request our Government to help him by giving a job.
