The Hollywood star, Arnold Schwarzenegger could be making his debut in an Indian film shortly, according to the grapevine.

Rajinikanth and Shankar’s Robot was one blockbuster film much loved by all when it released in 2010. Perhaps that is why the  makers are keen to get started on the Robot sequel. News is that Rajinikanth’s “Endhiran 2” will star none other than Hollywood superstar Arnold Schwarzenegger which will be directed by Shankar. It will be eye feast for the audience to see two legendary men together on the big screen.

The ‘Terminator’ star shares a close relationship with Shankar. He had attended the audio launch function of Shankar’s ‘I’ movie starring actors Vikram and Amy Jackson last year. It was during this visit that Arnold has expressed his interest to work in Tamil movies and desire to work with Shankar. And now, his wish seems to be on the verge of becoming a reality.

Director Shankar is already in talks with Arnold’s team for Robot’s sequel. Arnold Schwarzenegger might be playing a baddie in the movie. Apparently, he will be visiting India for 25 days to shoot his portion. Although, there has been no official confirmation yet, given Arnold’s equation with Shankar it is fairly plausible.

This is not the first time that a Hollywood star will be part of a Bollywood film. Indian directors have used the trick of adding the ‘Hollywood element’ as a major USP for their films in the past too.

“Endhiran 2 or Robot 2” is a sequel to “Endhiran or Robot”, which was released in 2010. Robot, this sci-fi movie, directed by S. Shankar, was well received throughout the country. The critics appreciated the attention to detail in every scene while the audiences loved it for the entertainment. According to reports, Robot 2 is in the pre-production stage. The filmmakers are busy finalising locations.

In the year 2012, rumours made the rounds that actor Aamir Khan would be playing the antagonist in Robot 2. Last year, there was a buzz that Hrithik Roshan may be starring in the Robot sequel.

Enthiran 2, a sci-fi thriller is touted to be India’s costliest film ever. According to another reports, there are also claims that the film will feature a top Hindi actress opposite Rajinikanth.
