Naval Dockyard Mumbai is inviting applications for numerous apprentice trades. The candidate who qualifies the procedure needs to undergo training for the particular trade for one year excepting Crane Operator (Overhead stell industry) for one year and three months and two year training for shipwright (steel) and Rigger. A total of 318 vacancies are to be filled as provided in the notification.

Eligibility Conditions:

The applying candidate must have passed 10th standard from any of the authorised boards with at least 50% marks. And, must have qualified ITI (Provisional National Trade Certificate acceptable) in relevant trade with the minimum aggregation of 65% marks. Further, the candidate should have passed relevant ITI/ trade test from any institute recognised by NCVT. Candidates to be enrolled for Rigger and Crane Operator as fresher must be 8th passed without ITI.

Age Limit: Applicant’s date of birth must be between 1st April 1999 to 31st March 2006. Upper age limit is relaxable by five years for SC/ ST candidates and two years for the  wards of Defence employees or Naval Civilians.

Physical Standards: Height of the applicant must be 150 cm at least and weight not less than Kg, chest expansion must be 5 cm at least.

Important: Those who are currently undergoing apprenticeship under apprentice Act – 1961 in any Govt / Public Sector / Private Industrial organisation or have already undergone are not eligible to apply for the vacant posts.

Candidates can apply online only for the recruitment using www.bhartiseva.com. No forms would be accepted through any other mode. No application fee is needed for the examination. After filling out the application form, candidates don’t need to send any hard copy of Naval Dockyard Mumbai recruitment 2018 form. Application without the clear photograph, photograph with cap/ wearing goggles, disfigured, unrecognisable or unclear photo or incomplete application may cause the rejection of candidature.

As per the notification, application procedure would be commenced from the third of publication of notification and the process will be closed after 21 days.

Naval Dockyard Mumbai recruitment 2018 Written examination will be objective type The written exam is scheduled to be conducted on December 18 at Mumbai. The duration of the exam would be two hours and would comprise of 100 Multiple choice questions.
