AFMC SSC RECRUITMENT 2018:

The Armed Forces Medical commission(AFMC) is a medical college in Pune, India, in the state of Maharashtra. The college is managed by the Indian Armed Forces. Established in May 1948 after World War II on the recommendation of the BC Roy Committee, remnants of various Indian Army Medical Corps units were amalgamated to create the Armed Forces Medical Services. The AFMC undergraduate wing was established on 4 August 1962, which is celebrated annually as AFMC Day by its alumni across the globe.

NAME OF THE ORGANIZATION: armed forces medical commission.

NAME OF THE POST: short services commission officer.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

EDUCATION QUALIFICATION: the applicant must possess medical qualification included in 1^st or 2^nd schedule or part 2 of the third schedule of IMC act 1956. The applicant must have permanent registration from any state medical council/ MCI. Postgraduate degree/ diploma holders recognized by state-level medical council/ MCI/ NBE can also apply.

Applicants are invited from both Indian male and female, who have passed their final MBBS/ PG diploma/ PG degree examination in the first or second attempt and completed an internship, for grant of short service commission in the armed forces medical services.

NOTE: the candidates only those who completed/ pursuing their internship can apply.

The applicants who have taken more than two chances in final MBBS ( part 1 & 2 ) examination are not eligible and hence they need not apply.

AGE LIMIT: the candidate must not exceed the age of 45 years before 31^st December 2018.

SELECTION PROCESS:

The selection will be based on the interview round which will be organized in Bangalore in may 2018.

INTERVIEW:  The eligible candidates will be called for the interview by the board of officer approximately in the month of may 2018. According to the candidate’s merit, the selection will be done in the interview. The candidates who get qualified in the interview will have to undergo a special medical examination board ( SMB ). The candidates appearing for the first time will be paid to and fro sleeper- class railway charges.
