CTET NOTIFICATION 2018:

Central Teacher Eligibility Test known as CTET is an Indian entrance examination for teachers. The test is mandatory for getting teaching jobs in government schools from Class 1 to Class 8. Paper 1 is meant for teachers opting for Class 1 to Class 5 and Paper 2 for Class 6 to Class 8. It is conducted by the Central government in India. Most states conduct their own TET.[1] The test is conducted in order fulfil and achieve the goals of the Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Act.

The central board of secondary education, Delhi will conduct 11^th edition of central teacher eligibility test for a candidate to be eligible for appointment as a teacher for classes 1 to 8. It should be noted that 11^th edition of CTET will be conducted in February- March 2018.

MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION REQUIRED FOR TEACHING PRIMARY CLASSES 1 TO 5:

The candidates must have passed senior secondary with least 50% pass percentage or appeared in final year of 2 diploma in elementary education.

Or

Senior Secondary ( or its equivalent ) with at least 45 % pass percentage and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year diploma in elementary education, in accordance with the NCTE regulations 2002.

Or

Senior secondary with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4-year bachelor of elementary education

Or

Senior secondary with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final 2-year diploma in education ( special education )

Or

Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of two-year diploma in elementary education.

MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION REQUIRED FOR TEACHING HIGHER CLASSES 6 TO 8:

The candidates must have passed with graduation or have passed with diploma 2 years in elementary education.

Or

Graduation with at least 50% marks pass percentage or appeared in 1-year bachelor in education ( B.ED )

Or

Graduation with least 45% pass percentage or have appeared in 1 year bachelor in education ( B.ED ), in accordance with the NCTE ( Recognition norms and procedure ) regulations issued from time to time in this.

Or

Senior secondary education with at least 50% pass marks or have appeared in final year of 4 year bachelor in elementary education ( B.El.ED )

Or

Senior secondary with at least 50% marks and passed with the final year of 4 year bachelor course of B.A/ B.SC, B.ED

Or

The candidate must have passed with at least 50% marks or appearing in 1 year B.ED ( special education )

APPLICATION FEES:

For general and OBC candidates: for single paper 1 or 2 – Rs. 600 /- and for both the papers Rs. 1000 /-

For SC/ ST/ disabled persons: for single paper 1 or 2- Rs. 300 /- and for both the papers Rs. 500 /-

MODE OF PAYMENT:

The fee can be paid through a challan by deposit of prescribed fees in CBSE account with syndicate bank or HDFC bank in favour of the secretary, central board of secondary education, Delhi.

The candidates can also pay the fee by debit/ credit card.
