Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) is an autonomous agency in India, which started its operation in 1975 as Personnel Selection Services (PSS). In 1984, IBPS became an independent entity at the behest of Reserve Bank of India (RBI) and Public Sector Banks. IBPS CWE is now mandatory for anyone who seeks an employment in 20 public sectors and Regional Rural banks. Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualification:

Candidates who are applying must have a minimum qualification of graduation in any discipline from a recognized University or Institute from State or Central Government.

Age Limit:

The candidates must have a minimum of 20 years and a maximum of 28 years. Other age relaxation details can be seen in the official notification.

Application Fee:

If candidates belonging to the general category they should have to pay Rs. 600/- and if candidates belong to SC/ST/PWD/ EXSM they should have to pay Rs. 100/- towards the application fee.

Selection Process:

Candidates should first attend the preliminary exam and then qualified candidates will attend the Mains exam. After mains, the candidates should have to write language proficiency test.

Exam Pattern:

IBPS clerk prelims exam will have three papers in which the English language is the 1^st paper, Quantitative aptitude as 2nd paper and Reasoning ability as 3^rd papers. All together the 3 papers carry 100 marks for which the time duration is 1 hour.
